Hello there! My name is Sailin and I am the girl in the atelier. I made my first dress, with the help of my grandma, when I was thirteen. However, it was not until 2020 that I started to receive kind encouragements about my projects, and I found myself both making and writing more. I build my projects almost entirely from scratch, indulging my tendency to fall down the rabbit hole of whatever craft that is required to achieve the desired result. I have a special preference for hand-sewing and needlework, because I believe that only objects made with time can transcend time.
I grew up in Shanghai, China, and now I study history of art in the Netherlands.
